  • Main is the Schwartz's *main* competitor (sorry). They're across the street from each other, and both serve Montreal smoked meat sandwiches, among other meats. The *main* difference (sorry again) is that Main is open late. Swung by at 3am and was able to get a sandwich and some fries. I wasn't a big fan of the fries (they were soggy and really sweet), but the sandwich was a great late night option. Not as good as Schwartz's, but it definitely hit the spot.
