Update:
Second time around...much better! Seated quickly, food came out fast and service was great!
I tried their udon instead of the ramen (which I had last time) and I prefer the udon. The broth is better and the noodles aren't the thick udon noodles I've had at sushi and other Japanese restaurants. I like that you can add extras like wakame and fishcake (or tempura among other things).
I'm also a fan of the umeboshi nigiri, which if you're from Hawaii is basically a musubi with ume in it. I don't see this on a lot of menus and although it's a very simple item, I love it! Probably because it reminds me of home.
I'm glad I gave this place another chance. It was worth it!
