After seeing this place in magazine after magazine and having friends tell me to give the cocktails a try, we finally went on a double dinner date last night on Valentine's Day!
The vibe is speak easy swanky 20'sans 30's theme with dim lights, cool hip music and a bar to die for. The drinks definitely have bigger placement on the menu however the food is simple and amazing.
We started off with a Mary Pinkerton (drink) which was fruity and frothy. It opened up my taste buds for an amazing flat bread covered with sausage. The flat bread was great with the perfect amount of seasoning. I had the Kansas City bone in for dinner with the truffle Mac and cheese. My steak was accompanied by the house rub which was almost like an ancho chili paste spice rub. It was delightful and my steak was cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese was good but lacked some seasoning. My dinner party ordered the strip steak and asparagus, jalapeño creamed corn and sweet potato Tots, all of which were enjoyable.
Dessert was THE BEST PART!
The donuts were absurdly perfect! Covered in sugar with a soft chewy dough! I of course covered mine in chocolate ganache! Yum!!
Creme brûlée was creamy and rich!
The warm cookie was great for sharing with three scoops of rich vanilla ice cream! You couldn't beat it!
We will definitely go back.
It's a great off the strip joint to being visitors who want a old school taste of Vegas!
