My husband surprised me with a trip here to paint my pet. The ladies working there said the Paint Your Pet class it is one of the more challenging classes...and it was. There were two instructors on hand to guide us through the process. One was more helpful than the other and they had different styles which was actually cool. I wish they would have given us a little bit of a primer up front with tips and suggestions to guide the process a little better. Am I being OCD? Probably. But I think it would have saved me some frustration along the way. The hubs forgot to bring wine so he went to a few stores nearby but quickly discovered that on Sunday, Rocky River is a DRY town, meaning no alcohol sales on Sunday. Big bummer. The ladies were kind enough to gives us a few mini bottles of Sangria to drink which was really nice of them!
Two things I would suggest to Wine & Design to make the painting and sipping experience even better: 1) give people a place to store your purse, coat etc while you are panting. Hooks on a wall away from the immediate painting area would be ideal because you won't worry about flinging paint on them. I ended up putting my purse on a ledge near the window alongside some finished art and I put my coat on the back of the chair but I wasn't a fan of either of those things. 2) play some less irritating music besides rap...Something more neutral and less off-putting like instrumental music would be a better choice in my opinion.
