Came here for a holiday office party on the 43rd floor. The ground lobby looks lux with marble floors and black velvet walls. The 43rd floor too is a little dressed up with black and gold doors that resemble vaults.
The hotel was quite small, not grand like most hotels but understandable for a downtown building. The party room itself was underwhelmingly small as we had to cram in over a hundred people. I think the room is Salvador but I'm not sure. Stunning view of the CN Tower and Toronto skyline though.
The food was not a formal sit down but was passed around as hors d'oeuvres instead. Some tasted outstanding (pizza and squash fritter bites) while others were mediocre (serve your own tacos, tuna tartare, fries).
The pizza was delicious: thin and crispy and soft. It's just what a good pizza should be.
The burger sliders had a medium rare meat (not juicy) with a sweet soft buttery bun that wasnt toasted warm.
The squash fritters was served on a spoon and was the best one bite thing I have ever had. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it paired so well with the rich creamy sauce and the sweetness from maple syrup.
Didn't get to see the pool, bar or other areas of the hotel, but it's a nice fancy place to host events
