  • Amazing pet hospital in an emergency. I had to rush my 3 year old Westhighland terrier to the pet hospital on 7/11/2017 in the evening after a rattlesnake bit hm on my back porch. We live next to the Superstition Mountains in Apache Junction. It was so scary to go through a rattlesnake bite with my dog. I My dod received top notch care from Dr Gassman at 1st Pet emergency pet hospital in Mesa Arizona. Fred was admitted into triage and given pain medication immediately. He was kept comfortable while they tested his blood to look at blood clotting times and red blood cell counts. He was given pain medication, IV fluids, and antivenin to save his life. He was monitored and kept comfortable over night. Dr Gassman and her colleagues saved my sweet Fred from death. I'm so thankful for them. He is at home healing and making a full recovery thanks to their quality care. The price for care was 1300.00 and is a reasonable price to pay for hospitalization and antivenin care. I would take any of my pets to them again in an emergency. Thanks Dr Gassman for saving my sweet Fred.
