We dined here on a Friday night at the New York New York . We chose Gallagher's because of the dry aged strip which in the past dry aged steaks I've had have been divine . It's a little dated on the inside but still has the classic steakhouse feel .
We didn't have a reso but still got sat within a couple minutes in a pretty busy restaurant . The service was just ok for a alacarte steakhouse . The server didn't offer specials or explain the menu at all just waited for us to order . Throughout dinner we had to wave him or a assistant over for service .
The food was pretty good though . I had the shellfish platter for 1 which was perfect for me not too much but enough to enjoy . My girlfriend ordered the wedge salad which was on the bottom tier of restaurants wedge salads.
We ordered the bone in dry aged strip and The steak was pretty damn good . Mouth watering and a little fatty cooked perfectly medium rare and juicy . The steak made the dinner for sure and it's all we talked about post dinner . The sides were good as well . The Mac and cheese and steamed spinach were standard fare.
Overalls as an ok experience with a great steak . Probably won't be back but will have to find a dry aged steak somewhere else.
