I am giving this place a 1 star for getting us in and out so quickly. I brought my son in on Thursday evening. No one was in the ER except us. My son had experienced his 4th bloody nose in 3 days. He was loosing a lot of blood with each one and they lasted about 20 minutes each time. We were seen by Patrick William O'Brien PA. He was not friendly at all and didn't act like he cared. My son usually has low blood pressure, but when he was put on machine his blood pressure was 158/110 and his heart rate was going from 106-110. The PA told us the machines always start out high. We told the PA that a couple of days before the nose bleeds my son was experiencing chest pains and then headaches. We thought that was something that should've of been looked into. Instead the PA gave a cauterized procedure to my son's nostril and sent him home with a clamp to put on his nose in case of another nose bleed. I kept mentioning that his blood pressure and heart rate was very unusual for him and it wasn't going down but a couple of numbers since we were there. He didn't seem to care and ignored our questioning. When the nurse came in to release us I noticed something flashed on the screen that said, Check Electrolyte. I asked the nurse what does that mean? She said, "He's dehydrated. There was no IV given for hydration. When we left the ER his blood pressure was 154/100 and heart rate was fluctuating between 95-104.
My son is being further tested for his high blood pressure issues . I will never go to this hospital again and I will never recommend this to anyone-unless Patrick William O''Brien PA is gone!
