I was going in the past to the Westlake location of Super Tan when I knew a really awesome girl there that wouldn't try and up sell me everything under the sun there. Since she left I continued to go back and forth between the Westlake location and the Lakewood location.
Now, Ive been frequenting tanning salons for years and I'm not an idiot when it comes to the fact that when you're being sold a lie, you're being sold a lie. Multiple sales staff have tried to sell me "bargain" packs of sample lotions, except that these are lotions that haven't been manufactured in YEARS so without a doubt they'd be expired. I called the young lady on it who was trying to sell it to me by polity saying "um..I think those lotions are old, they don't make those anymore do they?".
When the salon switched over to a different brand of product, I was again, trying to be sold more lotion that I didn't need. I was getting irritated at this point because the manager at the Lakewood location wasn't listening to me when I told him multiple times on multiple visits that I didn't like a certain type of lotion, he kept trying to sell it to me anyway because it was "made just for guys". I don't care! I'm happy with the lotion that I have! For the record I almost never buy lotion at salons because they're marked up so much. I usually find the same product online for much cheaper.
After a few more visits and leaving feeling like I was being pushed around to buy a new lotion or upgrade my beds, I finally called it quits once and for all with Super Tan.
I still think that they have top notch beds don't get me wrong; they salons were always clean, the prices weren't too bad and the multiple locations were convenient. However, the fact that every time I'd visit and was almost always trying to be a sold something new became a huge turn off and ultimately lead to me leaving.
