| - Greenland was a highly anticipated opening for me. I love the other asian markets in the valley, but this one is HUGE and was close to the house I lived in when it opened.
I want to point out, the ratings for Greenland itself are going to be skewed because I am seeing reviews for the food court eateries, and those ARE NOT part of Greenland itself. They are INDEPENDENT shops who lease the space.
Continuing with Greenland. They have pretty much ALL of my favorite Korean foods all in one place. Before they opened, I would have to stop at both commercial center and the one further down spring mountain (at valley view), to ensure I was able to get all that I wanted.
I like the pre-prepared meats as my mother did not learn to cook a lot of korean foods growing up as she always had older sisters around to do it for her... so, in turn, I didn't get taught either.
The ONLY reason that I did not give Greenland a full 5 stars is because twice now I have bought pre-made kal bi that was already turning! It made me sick the last time. :( I really do love this place, though, and I continue to shop there, even with the meat issue.
I love their prepared sides and it appears they refresh them regularly, and check for freshness regularly, too. They also have a steady supply of kim bahp! The other stores run out around 2pm, 3pm if you're lucky, but I can never get out there that early.
If you want to check out food reviews, the food court stores are: Soon Tofu, Chapaghetti, and more that I will write down the next time I am out there.
