| - I had a good experience with Bell Trans, due in substantial part to their drivers. I booked a $14.95 round trip package through Viator before arriving in Las Vegas. The Viator tickets don't specify Bell Trans, so I walked up to the GreyLine shuttle kiosk (one of 3 companies with kiosks) and was advised of the company and location of the van.
It's definitely a volume business, but they aren't inefficient in the way that a certain blue van service is. There were two vans waiting, and I was directed to one after being asked my hotel. We then sat for maybe 15 or 20 minutes waiting for the van to fill before leaving the airport at around 1pm. The ride from the airport to Strip is about 10 minutes, and I was the first stop (Bally's). I felt bad for the driver, who had to dig through the luggage compartment for my bags (I was second to board and first off if a full van) but he had a very positive attitude coming back.
Calling for the return trip was a bit of a hassle. The ticket states that you should book 24 hours in advance, which seemed excessive. I called from my cellphone at 3pm, 5 hours in advance of my 8pm pickup, and was put on endless hold. I left a message, but didn't trust the fact that there was no confirmation. I called again at 4:30pm from the Bally's courtesy phone, got directly through to a live person, and made the reservation. I was advised to be ready 15 minutes in advance.
The van arrived 10 minutes ahead of scheduled time. The van had the GreyLine logo, and so I didn't realize it was there until the driver came looking for me. (There was a couple sitting next to me in the Bally's boarding area who boarded the bus as soon as it arrived). Again, the driver had a good attitude, explained that GreyLine and BellTrans has the same buses (a much smaller BellTrans logo was on the bottom of the van) and loaded my bags into the back. We made one additional stop at the Flamingo to pick up 3 passengers, and were on our way to the airport with people. The driver pulled my bags out of the back at the terminal. One of my bags had tipped over, and he went to the front of the van and grabbed a flashlight to scan the back for anything that might have rolled out, without attitude or complaint.
I would definitely use Bell Trans again.
