| - Let's start with the positive - this is a great class for a beginner that is just looking for some motivation to get up in the morning and get some exercise in. You have to commit for 4 weeks, 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, Fri) and the only time when there ISN'T class is when there's lightning in the sky.
Now the rest of the stuff: When I hear the word "BOOTCAMP", I automatically think of G.I Jane type training...or at least "The Biggest Loser" type training.
What I experienced was more like an intense high-school gym class. Yes, those squats up that hill hurt. Yes, running around the baseball diamond 8 times took my breath away, but there wasn't any pressure to get BETTER. The trainers never PUSHED us to beat our last time, or to squat lower etc...
Also, because the class was full (12 people), it meant that there was little one-on-one time with the trainer. I still don't know how to properly do a Hindu pushup.
If you already belong to a gym, don't bother signing up for this - just go a kickboxing/step class instead.
