| - I had lunch with some colleagues at Benjamin's. This was my first visit and though I was intrigued by the burgers, and some other menu items, I was craving smoked salmon on the drive in this morning. As luck would have it, Benjamin's offers a pastrami style smoked salmon with brie, romaine, onion, tomato, dill aioli on a toasted wheat Kaiser roll. This sandwich is pared with a choice of side dish and who can resist wasabi and broccoli? Very nice, fresh broccoli florets, shredded carrots, and sesame with a light wasabi dressing. The menu pricing is slightly upscale and my lunch cost $13+ with no drink. I like water! Benjamin's does have a full bar and the atmosphere is very "pub" like which is to say that it is comfortable, the music was appropriately loud enough but not too loud for conversation at your table, there is a TV showing soccer, and the seating is fine. Tables w/chairs on one side and a long bench on the other.
I cant wait to try this place again. Next time I'll be checking out the burgers for sure!
