| - I like the idea of Wholefoods....but I guess since I am not too far from the St.Lawrence Market, and the large Loblaws....I'm allowed to be a bit picky, in terms of price and quality.
I don't love their produce selection, but since I have lots of options available to me, that's a natural bias.
I do enjoy their cheese selection, though I always need to check their expiry dates, some cheeses may expire soon and they are still selling it. Their samples also really sway me to try new cheeses.
I don't love the fact that they charge for meats, bulk, and produce in grams vs pounds. It's helps makes the price lower and you don't notice till you get to the cash.
I love their selection of organic foods, and like that food is labeled with good information like where they come from, are they organic ...etc. I like that when I need a can of coconut milk I can choose from half a dozen kinds . :-)
I have never yet used a Wholefoods coupon, but I have gotten some vouchers from food shows where with a $50 purchase you get a free pie or a box of salted caramels. That's kind of nice and offsets the higher prices.
I do appreciate that parking is comped if you spend $25 with them.
All in all , Wholefoods is a pretty positive experience , even if it's a pricier shopping experience.
