  • Hands down, the WORST experience I have ever had at any business. My first time here the doctor was an hour late for the appointment. He was rude and extremely hasty. He literally snapped at me because I could read the first two letters on the line but not the last few. He said "They are all the same, there's no reason you can't read the last ones..your eyes are just dry and you need to blink more. Every one always says that but it doesn't make sense!" I kind of just took it as whoa okay this guy clearly hates his job and people in general. He concluded the appointment but we had never discussed contacts, which is one of the services I came for. He said "Oh, I didn't see that and the front desk guy is new and didn't tell me. I don't have time, you have to reschedule for another week." So, I left. I should not have come back for the contacts, but I figured I would avoid an insurance hassle by not having the two authorizations. The next exam I request a different doctor, and he was extremely knowledgable and kind. I was much happier with this experience with Dr Christiansen. However, I knew I would be terminating my vision insurance at the end of the month, so I was cutting it close. On June 15 I finished my first trial lenses and the next set needed to be ordered. They said it would take 1-2 days to arrive. I told them I was concerned about missing the deadline to order them with insurance coverage, and they assured me it was already authorized and would be covered until July 16. The trial lenses took 2 weeks to arrive. I called at least 3 times to follow up, and when they did come no one had called me or left a message. I pick them up and a couple days later call them to finalize the prescription and order contacts (it is past the end of the month but still before July 16). Well, it turns out they were wrong about the 1 month authorization, and now I must pay out of pocket. Absolutely no effort was made on their behalf to rectify their mistake. I called the manager, Ryan Matthews, and could not get a hold of him. I left a message and the front desk staff said they wrote him an email about the situation and called and left a message. That was 3 days ago and I have yet to hear from anyone. The staff just directs me to him and that there is nothing they can do. I picked up my contacts today and they say the manager just left, with no mention of my situation. What is really upsetting is how genuinely uncaring everyone has been about the whole thing. As unfortunate as it is that I have to eat this expense, I would not be as upset if I didn't feel so wronged... absolutely no attempt was made to even recognize how poorly they have treated a customer. This place does not care at all and is completely untrustworthy.
