| - A disappointment. I love the product and their stores. Walked in several times, the staff seems a unknowledgeable, very green, no sense of urgency and unprofessional. First purchase, I bought 2 chairs and a floor lamp, pointed at the lamp and shade. They sold me the lamp but forgot to sell me the shade. I had to go back and purchase the shade. I guess the sales associate didn't know they had to sell me both lamp and shade. Second time, walked in, pointed at what I wanted. Sales associate took the time to locate the item, told me it was on back order but didn't give a date. I asked if they can help me find one before the time frame, she said she would ask, waited 30 minutes. She never came back. After waiting, another associate asked if we were ok. Told him we were waiting for the associate to give us an answer on the item we wanted to purchase. Found out the associate moved on to another customer. The associate that asked us if we were ok, had to start all over and check on the item. I had a handful of items that I was going to buy. The associate told me the item was on back order until February and said they couldn't find the item in another store, only waited 5 min for that answer. I was so upset by that time, I told them I didn't want anything. Walked out. Went to pottery barn (which is a sister store) and bought $4k of stuff. The associates around were just talking to each other about what they did last night and their little drama that was happening around them. The store was slow. Seemed like there was no manager on duty around to control what was happening on the selling floor.
