DO NOT MOVE IN.
READ THIS. DO NOT MOVE IN. READ FULL POST****
I REPEAT DO NOT GET CONNED INTO MOVING IN HERE.
I've lived in Tempe for five years through college, with three before that at the U of A. Across 7 different living arrangements this has been the absolute WORST experience I've EVER had.
I'm going to start at the very beginning, including everything. Upon touring we were told that our floor plan would include an A frame beam running through the center of it. We were very excited for this feature because it's very unique to our location in Tempe. In fact this was the final reason we decided to sign here after being told the apartment was completely remodeled.
Upon picking up our keys the woman that we SIGNED THE LEASE WITH and TOURED WITH looks at us and says "nice to finally meet you!" as she gives us the keys to an apartment with no A frame and a slightly different floor-plan.
It's 110 degrees outside and moving sucks so we suck it up and just keep the floor plan. Not the biggest deal. So then neither of the Ethernet ports in the house work. Both damaged. Ants are in every bedroom in the house, coming out of the fireplace. I literally wake up in the middle of the night with ants crawling up and around our bed.
The hot water will not work and we had to get a tech to fix it. The washing machine has flooded our entire apartment three times and we have not been able to wash our clothes since moving in. The AC in the master bedroom barely works to the point that the room will be 80+ degrees despite AC set at 74!
This place is MISERABLE. The techs enter without knocking despite us saying they did not have permission. In fact I'm pretty sure you can sue on that basis alone and I have it recorded with our home security system. Though I will say that Gabriel and Edwin have been phenomenal when I get them as my techs.
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE. YOU CAN PAY THE SAME AMOUNT AROUND TEMPE FOR BRAND NEW APTS. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID.
Edit: 9/5 -- Our fridge door will now not shut.
