| - I booked my hotel through booking.com, and I should have read the fine print because you actually have to pay $20/room resort fee!
I asked the girl who checked me in if this was required for everybody, regardless how you booked the hotel, and she said yes.
Granted, the deal with booking.com came up to only $62 (w/ taxes already) for the King room, but added on with the $20 resort fee, it totaled up to $80 for a Sunday to Monday stay, 1 night.
The cons:
* No wifi. Again I should have read the fine print! They had the Ethernet cable, but I was using my tablet so... that is a no-no.
* CLOGGED sink. This wasn't really annoying but I called the front desk and they said someone would be up to my room in 10-15 minutes. 22 minutes later, I called again and then they said someone will be up there soon. Waited another 10 minutes later, the plumber was very nice and courteous- he fixed the sink right away, but shouldn't management require that repaired before you check someone in?
* Resort fee= $20 which only includes...the gym entrance (I don't think anyone goes to the gym while at Vegas!), free newspaper (again, no one reads newspapers when they're at Vegas?), internet (again...no WIfi which sucks, only the Ethernet cable). Coffee maker, and some other stuff that you don't really use while you're at Vegas.
* I really don't care about decor but there were just stains on the carpet, on the chairs, and some marking on the walls. Kind of outdated.
* The showerhead has green rust on it... which even in some inns don't have that! They really need to clean that out.
* It was 8:30am and I was awoken by someone's alarm or music, and I couldn't help but sing along to it (it was Snow Patrol. Haha). I guess the walls are pretty thin... and I could hear the next door people showering. As soon as they turned on their shower, I would hear the pipes going at it.
Pros:
* Clean sheets. BUT I did see one pillow with a dark marking. Good thing you have more than one.
* Doesn't smell like smoke. Got the non-smoking.
* Quiet A/C, quiet room!
I don't think I will stay here again...I guess I will pay an extra $10/$20 to experience a high end room instead of one that "pretends to be one."
You used to have such great ratings, Monte Carlo!!
