Service was excellent, Gin and Tonic was great. Food I ordered was okay, but a little lacking for my tastes.
I didn't try any of the entrees, so will be back for that. The Jalapeño cheese curds were nice, but the Jalapeño was very subtle -- I'd love to try these impaled with a small spear of fresh jalapeño. The stuffed dates often raved about didn't quite do it for me. The cloying sweetness of the date muted the flavor of the chorizo, and the smell of the gruyere combined with the scent of caramelized sugar from the date was off-putting to me. The texture was a bit odd for me as well.
My final dish was the chili, which was tasty but lacked the zing and spice of a really good chili. I enjoyed the corn cake with cream and sweet potato haystack on top.
The atmosphere is comfortable and the staff very helpful and friendly. It's a nice place to meet up with friends, share a couple dishes, and have a few cocktails.
