| - I found Le's on Yelp* while looking for little gems to eat along N. Tryon Street--and there are plenty, too! Le's Sandwich & Cafe is buried behind the Asian Corner Mall on Sugar Creek and N Tryon. You'll know you're there 'cause the building looks like a bomb shelter (the driveway looks like it was hit in several places, too--seriously--you can lose a fender from your car in some of those potholes)! However, Le's is a great little place for some freshly made, Korean-style banh mi sandwiches all at great prices. I love the contrast of the soft toasted roll, the warm and spicy meat, the chill of the expertly cut veggies, and especially--the crunch. Mmmm!
They offer about 8 different riffs on the same item, so my tip is to order #1 and work your way up to #8 as you return. It's loads of fun, the staff will help with your order, and if you're lucky, find a seat at one of only a handful of tables. CASH ONLY (and no ATM's in sight).
