As has been stated, Ryan's is a warehouse, not a retail store. You can shop there, but it's still geared primarily for pulling product for shipment. So, don't expect the typical corporate retail service. But I have always found the staff to be helpful If you approach them. It's much better to know what you want from the catalog before you get there. It's not incredibly browsable because, again, warehouse. Not like Costco. A real warehouse. The warehouse is clearly evap cooled so it can get sticky in there if it's humid or really hot outside. Did I mention it's a warehouse? But the savings are legit. I have seen the same products (not similar, the same) sold at pet stores around town for twice as much or more. I bought a nice large folding soft-sided traveling crate for my dog here for $90. I recently saw the same crate at another store for $250. This morning I bought 300 poop bags and a bag full of plush toys for my dogs for $54, tax included. If you can get over the fact that the staff isn't going to fawn all over you and you're shopping in a warehouse, you can save real money on quality pet products.
