  • Central Christian Church makes attending church fun and engaging. It's like part Blue Man Group, part Rock Concert, part Spoken Word, and part Bible Study. And I'm cool with that.. Definitely a must go to stop when in Vegas. It doesn't matter what faith you consider yourself. Positivity and love are universal and have no boundaries. But let's be clear. I am not super religious by any means, nor do I truly have the time right now for bible study, prayer, etc. (though sometimes I wish I did). I'm not a devout Christian but what I DO believe in is the positive message that is universal to all faiths. Be kind, do good deeds, believe that you can always be a better version of yourself. Whether you gather strength from a higher power or from the energy brought forth by the people in this colossal arena (which is more like a concert than a typical church), you CAN walk down the pathway to self-improvement, the pathway to kicking any bad habits, the pathway to improving relationships and the pathway to finding love. Upon arrival, you're greeted by ushers who seem to always find you a great seat. A live band backs up great singers and they make you want to bob your head and fist pump praising life. Very thought-provoking stories and lessons that teach good morals are presented in a way that keeps the audience interested. Stories from the Bible are compared to modern day events and there are many references to modern day pop culture. Just last week, Jud compared a zombie from The Walking Dead to how many of us must feel personally in our lives. Not really dead, but also not really living. But with Easter just around the corner then, his uplifting message was that we could be ALIVE, AGAIN. Amazing. Central is always welcoming new visitors in the community with open arms. They throw amazing events for the community and even have various programs for children of all ages to explore their religious faith. For anyone who might be lost looking for a new positive outlet, or for anyone who just wants something a little bit different than the norm, I encourage you to step into Central.
