The first time I came to visit this venue - I was surprised at how quiet it was. There wasn't a lot of traffic at this time. The service was professional - from the time my friend and I sat down until we closed out we were treated as if we were at a 5 star steakhouse. I ordered the Achilles Peel to start - although the drink was more potent than I thought I could still taste the sweet flavor or mixed berry. For an appetizer my friend and I started with an order of crab cakes. The order was smaller than we though and tasted salty - although the garnish on top of the crab cake helped take down our sodium levels. For my entree - I ordered the filet which was super tender and very easy to cut. I wasn't a fan of the sauce that was on top of the filet but the mushroom sauce on the bottom helped with the flavor. For dessert - we ordered the banana bread pudding which was sweet but still crunchy. The server was thoughtful and put Happy Birthday near the bottom of the banana bread. Our overall experience at Searsucker was okay but I would definitely try the place again. It's nice to feel like a VIP on your birthday.
