  • finally got a chance to try this place out, and I'm pleased to say that it is pretty darn good. while spending an evening with the in-laws, we ordered from Pete's. I had the scallops & chips(but with onion rings), which was good--the scallops were tender and juicy, but with a perfect breading; on the other hand, the breading on the onion rings was not what I was looking for--WAY too crunchy, and a bit difficult to eat. the special sauce was alright, but a bit of a let-down. it was more of a spicy ketchup than anything truly special(I would have preferred some sort of sweet-spicy remoulade). the big plus for Pete's is the COST. super cheap, quality seafood; super cheap burgers; super cheap everything. their fries were also pretty darn good(though they could have used a bit more salt, which I didn't hesitate to add). we'll definitely be ordering from Pete's again; we're dying to try the Dixie Dog, and I'll likely have a hankering for oysters soon.
