We were excited to spend an hour 'locked' in a room to attempt our escape. Our room was the 80's room which was jam-packed with all the essential memorabilia. We were able to work out most of the clues except for one. Without disclosing important details, we were not able to get the keyboard to work. We read and obeyed the sign saying not to touch certain buttons. When our hour was finished our host checked out the keyboard and confirmed it was not working as it is designed to. He said he was not sure how to fix this situation but apologized.
After our visit we received an email asking how we enjoyed our experience. Instead of typing a reply I called the number to let them know our frustration with the keyboard malfunction. I am not sure if I spoke with a manager or the owner, but the man said he never saw a log on the keyboard error, which I guess they fill out if there is an anomaly.
Anyway, the person on the phone apologized for our experience and said he'd like to have us back to try out one of their new rooms before it opened to the public. I was thankful for a responsive manager/owner and hoped our next experience would be better. I was told we would be contacted in December to make our reservation at no charge. Unfortunately I have not heard from the Escape Room.
I'd like to return to Escape the Room but the price is too high if the clues are not going to work correctly and the staff will not fulfill promises to correct errors.
