  • Another quick lunch day downtown. Small, crowded place at lunchtime in downtown Phoenix. People sitting and eating, standing and waiting for take out and others ordering food. Not a large variety on the menu. Did not have much time and was going back to office I was at to eat once I got my order. Choose a large fried rice and an Arizona tea. The order taker, gave the order into a microphone to the kitchen that was about two feet behind him. I chatted with some other patrons. My name was called and I paid for my order, a bit over $5. Got back to the office, the bag contained a plastic container of fried rice, but no drink. Strike ONE, the bowl of fried rice consisted of rice ( fried a bit) with three pieces of carrot and 4 peas Strike TWO, I added a packet of hot mustard and one of soy but this could not save a rather dreary dish that basically was a bowl of white rice and a couple pieces of frozen vegetables. To be truthful, a burger from one of the name fast food places would have probably been better.....and I would have gotten my drink ! My choice for lunch, Strike THREE.
