We brought our 2008 Kia Sorento in for service at Jim Marsh that we had purchased new in 2009 from a now out of business Kia dealership in Vegas. Mileage on our Kia was 30,000. Problem was noise at speed over 60 from the rear. When they diagnosed it as needing new rear axle over $2000 we thought no problem as Kia warrants rear axle way beyond the 5 year 60k mile limited warranty and I had heard Kia had problems with these rear axles. We were told "not covered" because left rear tire had a bubble. Hey, these were the original Michelin tires and in fact were rotated front to rear just a couple months before at a tire shop and no problems were noted. If anything the rear axle defect caused the tire bubble and not the other way around. We bit the bullet and paid for new axle. I rate this as an avoid at all costs business because they went out of their way to exclude warranty coverage saying tire was "probably" the cause, never said the total cause. They were of no help at all dealing with Kia warranty customer service and their service manager had an attitude equating to get lost, I don't like you. .
