I stopped by around 1 pm on a Saturday, and although it wasn't busy, there seemed to always be at least two or three people in the store. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the pastries in the case. I got a délice de pistache and a raspberry macaron, which totaled under $5.
I ate the macaron in the small park across the street, and it was delightful. The outside of the shell was crisp, but the inside just melted in my mouth. The filling was nice and tart, but a little too sweet for my taste. I enjoyed the délice de pistache the next morning. It's basically pistachio cream and chocolate chips sandwiched in soft choux pastry. The creamy filling tasted more of lemon than pistachio to me, and it had a crunch from pistachio bits. The chocolate was hard to taste in the cream. I wasn't really a fan of the texture from the nuts, but overall, I enjoyed the pastry.
I'll definitely be back to try some other things when I'm in the area!
