The husband and I stopped in on a sleepy Monday morning. The space is open and a bit baron. You definitely don't get the warm and fuzzies like most cozy cafes.
The chalk menu board was nice; it showed us exactly what was in stock that day. The cashier wasn't outwardly friendly in any way; she was cold if anything. Kind of a turn off.
We noticed they had breakfast bagel sandwiches. We each ordered the bacon, egg and cheese bagel ($5.50 each). I asked for my bagel double toasted.
We were asked if we would in eat or take it to go. I'm not sure the answer really matters because our sandwiches were delivered to us in aluminum foil. No plate, tray, etc.
There was no bacon on either of our sandwiches. When we brought it up to the cashier, she gave my husband a dirty look, like he was trying to swindle her out of $1 portion of bacon. She legit asked him to show her his breakfast bagel with no bacon. Are you kidding me?
Anyway, a few minutes later we finally got the bacon they forgot. The sandwich was okay. My bagel was barely toasted and definitely nowhere near double toasted. They only offer American cheese. For such an expensive sandwich and a pretentious setting, you'd figure they'd have something else to choose from.
Anyway, just okay. Nothing mind-blowing. Lackluster cashier.
