| - The hotel is located in downtown and aesthetically it seems to be one among the newer properties in downtown Phoenix. The rooms is large with high ceilings, great lighting, and really clean. I am taking a couple of stars off due to a few hiccups in my stay and what I noticed. First, the shower heads were low pressure - my colleagues who were also staying there had the same experience. Second, the front desk is usually understaffed - for example, in the evening after work there are times when there were 10 to 15 guests waiting to check-in and there was one receptionist. Third, the hotel shares the mail room with Freeport McMoran - I had Amazon ship an item to the hotel, Amazon and USPS both claim the item was delivered on time as promised, however when I inquired about the item, the staff at the Westin said they had not received. They also mentioned it was possible it had been delivered to Freeport. Anyway, I was not able to get the item by the time I needed it. It was finally discovered by the staff 4 days later, they called and the next time I was in Phoenix, I picked it up. Not sure what really happened. Anyway, 3 stars.
