Our family has worked with Eyetique for over 16 years. Exams. Repairs. Eyeglasses. The service is always very prompt, and accurate. Questions answered honestly. Eyeglasses unique in the area. The technicians care about their customers. Personal.
So, perfect over 16 years? Two issues. Both were promptly resolved by Brad Childs. Eyetique is, after-all, his family legacy. Not some out-of-town, only-cares- about-the-money, company. Local, family business. Eyetique will be here tomorrow. So will the family. And you better believe their technology will always be ahead of the competition.
Let's talk about an issue some reviewers have addressed: Eyetique is expensive. You know what is really expensive: cheap eyeglasses that don't fit well, have inaccurate lenses and only last for a couple of years. Boring styles. Ordinary. No personality.
I'm getting involved in this concern because I have purchased poorly-made, mass-production eyeglasses. I have had inaccurate prescriptions, sloppy fit and lenses that frequently fell out. Store staff who didn't care. That's expensive!
Unique eyeglasses from Eyetique? This weekend they sponsored a visit with the representative from the Theo brand of eyeglasses manufactured in Belgium. I have been wearing a pair of Theo eyeglasses for seven years. I wanted a couple of different Theo frames. My wife and I looked at well over 200 Theo frames. Incredible! I selected two. My wife picked one. There is nothing on the market like the Theo frames. Eyetique is the only company in this area that is authorized to sell the Theo brand. The glasses you would pick from them are highly unlikely to show up on someone else's face.
Yep, they are a little expensive. Consider this: I put my eyeglasses on first thing in the morning; remove them after 11 PM. Sixteen hours a day, 365 days every year. They fit well, are comfortable and I can see exceptionally well. Here's the best part: my eyeglasses are probably the only ones in Western PA with their particular look. Unique!
Isn't that worth a little bit more?
After reading some of the Yelp reviews, I looked at many websites featuring eyeglasses. Zillion choices. Boring, perhaps, but the eyeglasses will help correct vision deficiencies.Yeah, the eyeglasses were pretty much the same, regardless of the source. Will they last?
I'm different. I want something unique. For 5,840 hours every year, I will have eyeglasses that no one else in the area has. Eyeglasses from Eyetique and Theo.
Back to the purchase process. Bethany, in the Squirrel Hill Eyetique, was patient, helpful, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, caring, accurate and a lot of fun to work with. I had a comprehensive eye exam, and all of my questions were answered. Bethany is a treasure. Ask for her when you visit. There was no high pressure. Only guidance.
Some reviewers had issues they were unhappy with. My suggestion would be to calmly discuss the problems with Brad. Don't be nasty or confrontational. Be polite. You will find that Eyetique really cares about their customers. Our experience covers 16 years.
We just purchased three Theo frames with Eyetique's best digital, custom lenses. Trust! Confidence!
You only purchase eyeglasses every few years. Apprehension is always there. Visit Eyetique with an open mind. The Eyetique staff want to show you the best because they are one of a few providers who can actually create the best eyewear, just for you.
