I Saw Joe Mimran tweeted that Chimney Stax had a kiosk at Vaughan Mills, so last time when I was there I was eager to try it.
The kiosk is simple and eye-catching (obviously with those delicious desserts emerging from it). Visually, Chimney Stax look great. I decided to get a Cookie Monster - complete with cookies and blue icing. I didn't quite get the photo I wanted, but you get the picture (pardon my pun).
Anyways, the ice cream was a bit pricey - I think this it was around $10? It is pretty on par with Eva's and other premium ice cream desserts though in terms of pricing.
I love the fun names and selection of ice creams that they have, and the soft serve was pretty good. However, I was not a huge fan of the cone. Though it was made fresh, the cone was not that soft. As I finished the top layer of soft serve, it was a bit difficult to eat the rest of it and I had to use a spoon. The denseness of the cone made it hard to finish the rest of it.
For the price point, I was not overly impressed with this dessert.
