On June 5th Sunday morning, I took my dog in for grooming. When I got there the young lady told me that she had a few dogs to cut so Sebastian (my dog) would not be ready until 1pm which was fine. When I got home within 45 minutes the young lady groomer called me and told me she had accidentally cut my dog (because he was fidgety and there were allot of distractions going on at the time so he was at the vet getting seen and that it was not that serious. I was shocked one because she just told me she had dogs ahead to cut and also my dogs has been getting groomed by pet smart (not this location in particular) for years and have never had this problem but I was told accidents happen. I went to pick him up and he was all bandaged up and I had to give my dog antibiotics and pain pills which seemed odd to me for such a "minor" cut but I digress.
My dog was bandaged for a week and I had to go back to have the bandage removed (don't worry I have pictures) pet smart did pay for the vet visit and offered to cut his hair free but the vet said I needed to wait a few weeks to let it heal and his grooming was incomplete. After all of this I never heard from pet-smart to follow up and reschedule or to see how he was doing by this time I'm feeling unsettled so I called the manager of the store just to explain how was unhappy at the way things were handled I wondered if I should call corporate and he told me that would not have made a difference as corporate would just contact him and have him handle. He told me he would talk to the proper people and would follow up with the next day. Well it's been 2 weeks and still nothing not even a we are sorry or we want your business. The way it comes across to me is everyone at this location is just trying to cover themselves instead of trying to make sure my
dog is ok I wonder if I'm overreacting but the cut on my dogs foot is barely healing and its looks like pets mart is not interested in having my business at this point of your made it this far in my review and are thinking about taking your animal in for grooming go somewhere else where they actually care about customer and the animal. I am pretty upset and disappointed. The second star is for hope that they rectify this situation.
