My first experience with AJ's was just an iced coffee. It was cheap (about $1.25 for a medium--the size of a Vente at Starbucks), and the flavor was incredible. It has good body and a nutty roundness to it that I can't find anywhere else. The only thing I hate is their number system--take a ticket and you'll be helped as if it's the DMV.
The meat and produce is unparalleled. AJ's has a deal with farmers where they get the first pick on produce and meat. The quality of fruit and veggies is unsurpassable, and their meat is divine. I purchased a pound of Choice filet mignon; it was one of the best cuts of meat I've ever consumed. Incredible.
Really expensive, but you're paying for the quality. Pretty snooty people work and shop here, which I prefer to avoid.
