  • Flying the cool Evektor SportStar with Ernie was a great way to spend a morning in Vegas. Taxying is horrible, twitchy, overly sensitive, and then actually not much authority for tight turns. Sad! However flying was super fun. Conventional controls, handing, steep turns, stalls, slow flight. Strong gusty crosswinds for circuit training, eventually rewarded with some safe landings. The plane is clean, in top condition, and has good checklists and accessories. Ernie is everything you'd want in a friendly flight instructor. Teaching, not preaching. Ready, but not intrusive. Careful, patient, tock the time for a little 'chalk talk' in the hanger that made the lesson then go a whole lot smoother. All in all -- highly recommended.
