2.35754 stars to be exact. Everything was just okay. Nothing special that really wowed me except the crispy pork belly and uni chawan mushi.
My boyfriend and I came in on a Saturday around 1 am for a late dinner. It wasn't busy at all and there was only one server.
We ordered:
CRISPY PORK BELLY: honestly my favorite dish. It was crispy and chewy. I liked the salt that was sprinkled on it. It brought out the savory taste!
CHICKEN KARAGE: Felt undercooked and needed to be more crispy.
UNI POTSTICKERS: hmm I really wondered what I put in my mouth. I think there was only a smidge of uni at the top and the rest was weird mushy stuff.
HALIBUT AND ABALONE: okay seriously for $15 I expected a lot more. The halibut was seriously the size of my two fingers and the abalone was very tiny also. They just serve it with a side of ponzu.
GO WINGS: were drenched in some salty teriyaki sauce. The breading was hard and I didn't like it at all.
UNI CHAWAN MUSHI: very savory! I love the seafood that was in there and how it's served to you in a small cute cup.
BEEF TATAKI: very small portion. Only five small pieces. I did like the sauce and topping they pot with it. The meat was tender and chewy!
SPICY MISO RAMEN: the noodles were very undercooked and came out warm. The broth was light and just okay.
The owner Go was nice enough to let us try his small clam dish.
Don't think I'll be return though unless it just take out of the Crispy Pork Belly.
