| - Edit: Freddie (The Owner) reached out to me again after writing this review. He apparently had intended to provide me some sort of reimbursement that never occurred, and today he gladly refunded my order and apologized up and down for the inconvenience. He was adamant that my experience with the company is not the norm, and I can tell from reading the other reviews that he is right. I would like to thank Freddie for doing the right thing (eventually) and appreciate a business that is willing to rectify it's mistakes.
Original Review (for ONLINE STORE ONLY):
I found a great price via Freddie's nutrition website (better than anywhere else online), and decided to place an order (for a Christmas gift) with them. The order was placed on December 7th. I did not receive my order until January 7th, a FULL MONTH LATER. Here's what happened:
Their website provides poor tracking info, so after about a week of not providing me any info as to whether my item had shipped, I decided to reach out via e-mail to ask how I could go about tracking it. A woman named Alice replied that the item was "out of stock" and they would be shipping it early the next week. I told them that this was unfair of them because nowhere on their website when ordering did the product say it was back ordered. It appeared "IN STOCK" on the website, so I told them that this was misleading and they should change it... And not to worry so long as I receive my product in time for Christmas. They told me ok, it should not be a problem, they will e-mail me when it arrives.
Another week went by, and I received no e-mails. Again, I reached out via e-mail to express my displeasure. This time, I had Freddie HIMSELF e-mail me back, which (at the time) I thought was pretty cool for the owner himself to take action. He explained that the company providing him the product had mislead him, and put the blame on them for not having the item in stock. I told Freddie that I understood as I am a business man myself who relies on a 3rd party to provide our products... However he should still not have the item listed as "IN STOCK" on his website if in fact it is actually back ordered. He said that he understood and would e-mail me when the product arrived.
Another 4-5 days went by, and still no e-mail. At this point, I had to come to the realization the package would not arrive before Christmas. I e-mailed Freddie (very nicely) and explained that when MY BUSINESS makes an error of this kind, we are sure to reimburse the customer in some way so that he/she does not become disgruntled (HINT HINT). He did finally e-mail me that my order had shipped sometime in early JANUARY. Nowhere in the e-mail did he try to reconcile the major inconvenience this caused me... He didn't even bring it up. Even after we discussed businessman-to-businessman how a situation like this should be handled... Which lead me to writing this a negative review.
