Pros: I have lived here with my adult daughter and my two grandsons for almost 5 years now. We live in the townhouse style 3-bedroom and love our apartment. My master suite bedroom is on the main floor along with the garage and the laundry room, and the other 2 bedrooms are on the second floor. The pool was totally resurfaced this year and looks great. The landscaping is beautiful and rivals that of resort hotels. Whenever I have needed maintenance, my request has been answered within hours, not days! This place is very quiet and we feel safe here.
When we first moved here Greystar was the management. A couple years ago Trinity bought the complex and things were going downhill fast. The company was only interested in fixing up the premises to resell it. The bookkeeper lost my rent check AND my utility check. She claimed she never received them, which is very unlikely as they were mailed by my bank on two separate days. Since PrideRock has taken over, things are much improved. They've even fixed the overcrowded pool problem by issuing pool passes and limiting the number of guests allowed.
Cons: Parking can be an issue if you have visitors as there are very few unassigned spaces available. Also dog poop is a big problem. I have been a dog owner in the past and cannot understand the rudeness of those who do not clean up after their pets. The new management is at least taking steps to get it better under control. And yes, I have had a couple scorpions in my apartment, but this is Arizona and those guys can crawl through very small spaces and are motivated to do so when the weather starts to cool in the fall.
So although no place is perfect, we are very happy living at 3800 Lux.
