  • No star. My husband and I were assaulted on Sunday. My husband by three to four males and myself by three females. We asked them to quit smoking as the lifeguards did not seem to care. We had a cabana and the saving grace is that our three year old son was asleep as to not witness the assault. The cabana that assaulted us housed about eight or so adults and six or so children. According to wet n wild it is a no smoking facility and only six persons per cabana. Why did a rep/security not notice but better yet why did the cabana hostesses not notice or make a comment to management? We were reprimand for our sons ring float. When personnel arrived the assailants fled with the reps telling us they were being sequestered Ina separate area - they walked in separate directions. The response of metro was excessive or lack of (45 mins) and we left. Neighboring cabanas gave us their support as we left and commented that we were not in the wrong as we all believe that the assailants did not rent the cabana. We met with metro the next morning at the er and they commented that wet n wild employees led us wrongly as they do not believe they have the ability to detain. When we called to see how this was being handled was stonewalled and basically informed to get a lawyer. Wet n wild is not staff adequately or with responsible individuals. Safety is a concern. My husband has a facial fracture, abrasions, eye hemorrhage, lacerations, multiple fractures in big toe foot. He is unable to work. Guess we are getting a lawyer.
