Our car was broken into while we were in the parking garage. We stopped here for maybe 18 hours as part of a road trip so we had a pretty full car. When we saw our broken car, there was a note from security saying they found and it and were processing it. Did they ever bother to call us? No, despite the fact that had found things with our phone number and name. However, they DID manage to leave the car unprotected with two blown out windows so more stuff could be stolen if people wanted.
Staff was EXTREMELY unhelpful. No one said "Oh that sucks I'm sorry." It was "Car break in? Go to this place" over and over again until we found the right place. The security guard said they had been doing so well and hadn't had a break in in two weeks. TWO WEEKS is your "good run"? Seriously?
Here is the kicker: While dealing with all of this, the people at the front desk wouldn't give us late check out. "But our car was broken in into on your property... your security has known about it for hours without telling us... we are filling reports and calling the police?" "Well I can wave the fee, but you still have to pay resort fees?"
I just went straight into the "Platinum VIP area" and told them what happened and they actually treated me with concern and helped but this was only after i was so frustrated I just barged in.
For what its worse: They said car break ins happen regularly. They don't really do much to help or make it right (all my friends asked if my room was comped... nope, had to kick and scream to get two hour extended check-out). Contrary to popular belief, there are no cameras in the parking garage per security.
The rest of the hotel is pretty average and they'll try to nickel and dime you like most places. However, given how unhelpful everyone was, how nonchalant, I will not be staying at any Harrah's properties anymore because I can only assume this is how it is at all of them.
