| - I go to the E. THOMAS Rd. store cuz Lowes is 10miles further. Six-of-one, as far as I can see, and I've been to both (and others) many, many times. (I did parttime handyman work for a couple years to supplement my income.)
This HD is your standard Big Box store. Decent selection, and u can usually find someone to help you within a min or two UNLESS.... You go on off-peak hours. I went in on a Sunday at 3PM, innocently assuming since the store would not be too busy, I would be able to get some help on some project where I don't have much experience.
My first spanking-by-reality was in the plumbing section. After staring at some fixtures & connectors for a l o n g t i m e...., I walked up and down 4 FULL isles just to find an orangie to ask to call someone to help me. After prob 5 mins of walking, I found one! He called for help. Well....
After waiting for about 5 more mins and not one orangie entering my isle, I began to foray out for the more random items on my list, then back to the plumbing isle (where another guy and I had been commiserating, and since he hadn't been helped either, we continued to whine like 13 year-old girls at a country music concert.
Another orangie, another call, and finally, about 30 mins had passed and I got help!!
Sadly, it took 20 mins for help in lighting!! So I'm left with the dilemma of a busy man: Hellish traffic, scarrrrrrrry parking, long lines, (repeat) and be able to find some help..... OOOORRRRR easy journey but to empty zombie-land isles.
Well, I think I'll go back to Koller's True Value.
