At first I was wary when I heard that the price for a woman's haircut at Puccini's was so low. Under $30? What's the catch?
If there is one, I haven't found it yet. The appearance of the salon seems fine to me--I think it's going more for edgy than high-end, but the place and the equipment appear perfectly clean to me.
The stylists I've had here were friendly. In other salons, some stylists have come across as condescending when they realize that I'm a student and won't be a frequent customer getting all the bells and whistles--but not at Puccini's. When other stylists have told me I need to come in more frequently to maintain my hairstyle, I don't get that lecture here. One of my stylists here even suggested how she could cut my layers so they didn't grow back so quickly. All the stylists here seem to be young with hip, edgy haircuts--but I've always been happy with the less funky cuts I ask for and receive.
