| - Oh man, I love the crap out of East Coast Custard! I've sampled the other frozen custard available in the Cleveland area, and I definitely think East Coast is the best. Rosati's tastes pretty good, but is way overpriced, and every time I eat at Strickland's, I end up getting sick, because their custard is a bit too rich. East Coast, on the other hand, gets the balance exactly right, both custard, and price-wise.
I always stop here when I'm in Cleveland, though I tend to be boring and usually get a scoop each of vanilla and chocolate, with rainbow jimmies, but occasionally one of the special flavors will pique my interest. All the "crunch" flavors are very good, and even the chocolate almond yogurt is a stand-out, despite being slightly lower in fat. When I was a kid, I was somehow able to pack away a jumbo from here (and with no resulting, erm, gastric upset), but I think my metabolism is best suited to a double or triple these days.
I live in the UK now, where frozen custard isn't even a thing, so I'm kind of insanely jealous of everyone in Cleveland who has full-time access to such an amazing product. So I'm urging all of you to make the most of your good fortune! Go eat a scoop or two, and spare a thought for those of us in barren, frozen custard-less lands!
