I recently asked GSI Home inspections to send William to a home on Tierra Blanca for a pre-sale home inspection. I found these guys, as I do for most of my needs, on Yelp. After reading the reviews, I requested William personally and I am very glad I did! I purchased a second home about 2 years ago and hired a "cheap" ($100) company to do the inspection. The "inspector" came out in shorts and tank top. After giving the house a "clean bill of health", I asked him if he was going to look in the attic or access the roof and he told me that he had no ladder as he does not believe in accessing the roof and attic due to the damage it could cause.
William had no problem with that and not only accessed the roof he also looked in the attic finding that the home owner breached the fire rated ceiling in the garage to put in an access and had left the electrical wiring laying across the opening! He also found some thing that should have been obvious, but even I missed...the back yard access from the kitchen was a door that was hung with the hinges to the outside! I would have never seen that...William did! He even used a thermal imaging device to find heat leaks. I could actually SEE the studs in the wall!
I can't tell you how easy the $200 charge was to hand over to William for the inspection. What a professional in every way. So helpful and offered a lot of information on getting this home in shape!
