  • I always get the worst service at this store. Their signage is always wrong. I end up paying more for some items because they can't seem to keep track of all their sale signs even though 50 people are working there at once. The salespeople are always just standing around talking to each other and ignoring the customers. Look, I know working in retail sucks. I did it for over 15 years. But just as it is in any job, it's worse if you have a bad attitude and it doesn't help anyone, especially yourself, to be rude to the customers. The only reason why I return is because the deals are usually good and I just really like banana republic clothing. today, for example, i found a super cute shirt that was 40% off the original price and then an additional 20% off the lowest sale price. well, according to the signage hung on the rack where the shirts were. however, when i went to pay, the additional 20% did not come up so, of course, i mentioned it to the cashier who rolled her eyes at me and immediately became frustrated. she stomped off to investigate the sign without saying a word to me first and when she returned explained to me that the additional savings was only on patterned shirts and my shirt was a solid color. pfft, whatever. i'm gonna sound like an old fart right now but, in my day, we all knew what all the sales were throughout the store. i never had to check a rack to see what the current sale price was. but if, on some rare occasion, i did have to, i was more than happy to do it and i wouldn't dare roll my eyes at the customer nor would i appear frustrated and stomp off like a child who didn't get their way. also back in my day, if there was incorrect signage or if an item was hung in the wrong place at no fault of the customer, we would gladly give the discounted price to the customer as a courtesy. the discount doesn't come out of my paycheck so why not just make the customer happy so that they'll return. it's better for the company to lose a few bucks in one transaction in order to save a repeat client. on top of that, i agree with everyone else's reviews. the store is always a mess even though there are a million people around, appearing busy or socializing with each other. the quality of the apparel isn't quite as nice as it used to be either. i think br outlet has their own line of apparel now as opposed to getting overstock and past season items from the regular br stores. i've put up with disappointment from this store more times than not. i think i'm done. i'll just stick to the regular br stores from now on. sorry outlet!!!
