| - There are a lot of comedy clubs in Las Vegas, and this really isn't too bad. They seem to have a lot of variety in the comics they get, and the tickets are priced very well for a night on the town. We bought tickets and had to go to will call, which, at 10pm, was not open on the 2nd level closest to the pinup theatre, so we had to go down the escalator again to where the ticketing booth was for the rooftop amusement park, which was weird, but it worked out fine. Going up the escalator again, we had to walk down the hallway with all the stores and arcades and past the rooftop escalator to find the Dragon Room, which was small and had an awkward lay out. The stage is off-center, and we ended up directly perpendicular to the stage, next to the curtain for the backstage area, which was a bit weird, but it worked out fine. There was an MC, who we thought was the funniest of the bunch, an opener, and a headliner. They seem to have several shows a night, and it surprised me that the Strat didn't put more effort into making the theatre a bit nicer-looking or try to arrange seating better for all the patrons that go in and out of there. It's not a classy night out by any means, but it'll do for some cheap laughs.
We saw a 10PM show on a Saturday night and were told they have a weekly free 12AM show where comics from the strip come to test out new material. We didn't wind up staying because we were tired, but it seemed interesting!
