What a fun and memorable dining experience it was at Restaurant Guy Savoy!
The staff was attentive and professional. There were at least 4 different people that serviced our table. The restaurant was not only adequately staffed but the staff were knowlegeable when asked to recommend a wine from the wine list or when the bread and dessert cart came by your table. I felt well taken care of by the staff.
As for the food, our table went with the Black Truffle Prestige menu ($420/pp). Truffle can be found in every dish (except the dessert course) in this 8 course meal. I was in TRUFFLE HEAVEN! You have to really enjoy truffles to go with this menu selection. My favorite dishes from this 8 cours meal were: Trubot roasted on the bone and black truffle mousseline, Foie-Gras "en papillote" and black truffle bouillon, Artichoke and black truffle soup with toasted mushroom broiche and black truffle butter (was told that this was the dish Guy Savoy was known for) and the Comte mousse black truffle and the tropical dessert (fresh mangos).
Adding to this memorable dining experience was having the gorgeous and very talented Chef Matthew come to our table to shave fresh truffle on our plates. Towards the end of our meal, I had the opportunity to take a picture with Chef Matthew where he makes all the magic happen - the kitchen! Although the moment was brief, it was exciting and fun.
