| - I'm normally a big fan of this budget Hilton brand. The usual home2 amenities are here; suites with a kitchenette, full size fridge and sofa. These rooms are fairly long and narrow, with lots of space to store things. I like this brand for its comfortable rooms, modern decor and (normally) comfy bedding. There's even a heavy curtain between the bed and sofa, which works as a both a privacy screen and a light filter from the hallway.
This particular location has the worst pillows ever. Now, before you accuse me of splitting hairs and being picky, recall that a hotel's first priority is comfort. They're in the sleep business. This location offers both fiber filled and feather pillows. The fiber filled pillows are so high that, unless you're a very large man with a linebacker's build, you'll strain your neck trying to use them. The feather pillows are so cheap and under filled that they bottom out immediately upon contact with your head. These are new pillows, mind you, and, according to the unhelpful desk clerk I dealt with, the brand standard. Housekeeping uses Febreeze and the rooms reek of it. I think this stuff is awful, and I wish hotels would stop using it. A clean room and clean bedding should smell like nothing at all. I invoked the Hilton guarantee on check out, which states that if you're unhappy and they can't fix it, that night is on them. I had to wrangle this from the front desk clerk, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. Not going back.
