Ok when was the last time you saw a mom and pop ice cream parlor?
I stopped in here after moving to Matthews 3 years ago, after reading the reviews on here I had to try it out and its totally worth your time. Why this place doesn't have a line out the door on a hot summer day is beyond me. I've tried a few of the flavors but I'm a sucker for butter pecan and they make it well. The store smells of freshly made waffle cones and you can actually see most of the ingredients of the ice cream around the store. I am not lactose intolerant but for whatever reason it never fails to upset my stomach later on except this place. The only thing I can think of is they use real ingredients and well my body isn't rejecting them. Needless to say none of their ice cream comes out of a mix bag and they keep it at a proper temperature (You know its kind of soft but not soft serve or a brick?)
I actually don't mind the pricing when I compare to lets say cold stone (they are about the same). At least I'm supporting a small business and I know they made it on site. It is a little more expensive than most of some other bigger names but again its fresh, its local and I'm pretty sure if you requested a flavor they might actually make it.
