It's no secret that I am a lover of miniature trains! When I found out about this place I had to take a trip. The park is very nice and seems to be quite popular with locals. There were lots of picnics and parties going on when we visited late on a Saturday afternoon.
The park is well maintained and very spacious, but I only went for the miniature train. They run the train continuously but there always seems to be a line (get your tickets and get in it). Tickets are $2 per adult for a short ride around the grounds. The train ride is fun, you get to go over a couple of tiny bridges and through a covered tunnel. The track circles the entire park so there's plenty to see. It is a hit with kids and adults and is well worth the two bucks. They also have an all day ride pass for about $10 which would be a great value if you or your kid loves trains and plan to spend the whole day.
All of the train exhibits and the small merry go round require tickets to enter. Parking is plentiful and free, as is admission to the grounds (you only have to pay for the exhibits or rides). A great short stop while visiting the Phoenix area.
